UNLV has been doing a great job getting the foundations built for an institution-wide Research IT program, and this is the first technical position they are listing (it won't be the last). The cross-division Research IT program has an amazing Director, broad campus support including both the Research and OIT offices, and excellent faculty committee leadership. The campus approach for Research IT includes many team elements from the "enterprise" side of the house (networks/security/cloud/IAM), so the new roles won't be working in the dark.
