The Academic Research Computing team at the University of Richmond, VA has an opening for a Computational Support Coordinator to support faculty and students in their use of Linux-based HPC and workstations for research and instruction. It is a hands-on, faculty-facing role: installing and configuring software on computing-intensive hardware, SLURM job scheduling, troubleshooting across the stack, shell scripting, and partnering with researchers to fit computing solutions to their workflows.

They are looking for someone with experience in Linux cluster or workstation computing, comfort at the command line and with shell scripting, working knowledge of Python and/or R (supporting Jupyter and RStudio), and familiarity with git. This role would suit someone early in a research-computing career who enjoys working directly with researchers.
